FMEA-based isk assessment on hydropower plants

We have developed and applied a method aimed at programming and scheduling the maintenance activities of civil and hydraulic works and infrastructures as well as the mechanical and electromechanical components of an hydropower plant, based on the risk assessment (FMEA).

Frosio Next has made use of the well known FMEA methodology, together with more than 40 years of experience in the hydropower field and we have devised a method aimed at identifying the intervention priorities of each plant component and equipment: the FMEA analysis will be applied to each main plant component taking into consideration the effects of each potential failure mode on the component itself and on the interconnected components.
